Antique Chinese Rustic 4 Legged Elm Wood Stool Bench, Rustic Primitive This small 4 legged bench has an unusual shaped heavy top, as the 2 ends are thicker than the center and the top is concave. The slightly rounded rectangular legs are fastened to the top with mortise and tenon joints. There are straight stretchers on the sides as well as the front and back. The front and back ones are lower so they can be used a foot rests. Mortise and tenon joints are also used to connect the stretchers to the legs. This rustic Stool is a well used piece but remains very structurally sound. It is functional as well as a unique conversation piece.
