Vintage Accutron 224 Tuning Fork Accuquartz Watch - $150 - (Albion, NE)

This is the somewhat rare Accuquartz 224 diamond dial watch. This is still a tuning fork watch but it uses a quartz crystal for improved accuracy. I believe these watches cycle at 343 cps to the regular Accutron's 360. You would have to be particular to nit pick this watch I am so I will nit pick it for you. The dial has some small marks . They are not to bad to the naked eye. The stainless is bright and looks good but if you use a magnifying glass you can see handling flaws. The dial does have a real diamond but I doubt it will impress many women. The watch is super clean as is the band which is a vintage USA Speidel. The watch keeps reasonable time. It was inspected and passed by my Accutron man when I acquired the watch several years ago.The watch is a 1973 (N3) model. The watch looks way better in person than it does in my photos. This is a prime collector watch but it could be worn daily and should appreciate in the future.
