Up for your consideration is "VERY RARE" ORIGINAL Renwal 1/24? 1/25? scale 1954 FORD CRESTLINE SEDAN TRUE SCALE REPLICA PROMO TYPE MODEL CAR. This is a metal car with NO interior. It measure almost 8" in length. There is a minor rub mark on roof near driver's side windshield post. The body is factory painted blue & white. Please keep in mind that these were mass produced on an assembly line and were not "show" paint jobs. They were just sprayed when they came down the assembly line. The paint will show small factory imperfections, rubs, paint runs etc from the manufacturing process and long term storage. They were just produced as kid's toys and were sold in five and dime stores back in the day. The real rubber tires are all original and are like new with no wear on the thread. They are all stamped "RENWAL U.S.A." Hub caps are also excellent. The bumpers are factory painted silver and are also excellent. There are a few minor brown spots on the front bumper in center. The chassis is excellent and the friction motor is fully intact and performs very smoothly when you turn the gear. The chassis is also stamped "STANDARD FOR THE AMERICAN ROAD" and RENWAL U.S.A. The car is in overall very nice condition and is in "like new" condition. In all my years of collecting I've never owned another one. You would be looking a long time to find a nicer example. This was purchased from a long time collector who had in on a promo shelf for many years. I do NOT have the original box. It will be mailed in a heavy corrugated promo type box.
