1989 Corvette ZR-1, (WHITE), RARE,Dealer promo Dated & Signed Duntov, Shinoda, - $3,000 - (St Johns, FL)

This 1989 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 is One Of A Kind in that it is signed and authenticated by GM. This is one of 40 that was the centerpiece for a dinner at the Corvette Bowling Green plant. The Plant manager Paul J. Shinoes gave this prmo. to the NCRS organization to be auction off at there NCRS Florida Banquet Jan 19. 1991 with the proceeds going to the Corvette Museum. I was the lucky bidder and it has been in by passion ever since. The Chevrolet Division made the decision NOT to build the ZR-1 as a 1989 and to wait until 1990, therefore ERTL had to destroy the prmo models the had already produced with only the 40 given for the GM Bowling Green Banquet and a few GM VP'S .What makes this very special is that it is signed by: Zora Arkus-Duntov (with 1-19-1991) former Corvette Engineer. Larry Shinoda former corvette stylist. Paul J. Shinoes Bowling Green Corvette Manager, and Ralph J Kramer Chevrolet public relations director. Letters Dated Jan. 1991 from Paul J. Shinoes corvette Bowling Green plant Manager and National Corvette Museum Secretary Terry McManmon acknowledging this event and the prmo. NOTE: The ERTL classification labeling stamped on SIDE of box NOT the end. Box and prmo are in like new condition and have been in a SAFE for 28yrs.
