Rare Calumet Circular Ring Light flash head for Comet strobe packs. Excellent overall condition. Only used a couple times when I needed the classic "ring-light look". Powerful bi-tube head works with both CX and CL series packs. This strobe head has two semi-circular flash tubes. Each tube has it's own flash power cable. Flash cables can be plugged into one or two power supplies (not included). Plugging both cables into a CL5000 power pack yields up to 5000 watt seconds of power. Plugging each cable into two separate CX-244 or CL2400 power supplies yields up to 4800 watt seconds of power. Bi-tube design yields shorter flash durations at lower power settings. Attached connection cables are approximately 18 feet long and can be extended with Comet CX/CL extension cables (not included). Cable ends are in good condition and show no signs of arcing. Head includes a heavy-duty camera platform with 3/8-16 mounting thread. Camera platform slides up and down to allow centering of the camera lens. An additional 1/4-20 socket on the bottom of the head can be used to mount the head to a tripod or light stand. The head comes with two reflectors; an open face reflector and a white plex diffuser reflector. PLEASE NOTE: This head does not have any modeling lights. The design of the flash head prevents the inclusion of tungsten bulbs and in any case, tungsten bulbs would not be able to replicate the smooth even circular light source that this head creates.
