AUSTRIAN ART DECO 800 SILVER FILIGREE ONYX ORNATE LOCKET NECKLACE - $395 - (Aptos, CA)

This is a beautiful piece and a hard to find one. It is fully hallmarked for Vienna, Austria circa 1930 and hallmark for 800 continental silver. The locket is black onyx as are the faceted beads. Accented with delicately engraved floral links and repousse work as well as natural seed pearl. The drop locket has a photo back that is glass covered. It pulls out so you can put a photo inside behind the glass. The locket is 2 inches including the bale by 1.25 inches. The chain is 26 inches long and ¼ inch wide. Overall excellent condition, there is one small chip right where the bale inserts in to the onyx on the backside, my suspicion is this occurred during the drilling to place the bale.
